Proper weed identification is essential for successful lawn treatments. Timing and product selection matter, which is why we use three different products to treat the weeds pictured below.
Crabgrass is best controlled with pre-emergent treatments or can die off naturally during a harsh winter. Torpedo grass is very difficult to eliminate and typically cannot be fully controlled with chemicals. Early hand-pulling is important when weeds first appear. In severe cases, certain Roundup® products may be used on ProVista® lawns, but this must be done correctly. We strongly recommend working with a trained professional.
